Lars Frelle, Director at Danish Industry, who took part in establishing Research Centre for Government IT when he was Director of the Danish Agency for Digitisation, is excited to hear about the new collaboration:
“It’s a great initiative. We need more research on how to conduct successful digitalization projects and collaborations between the private and public sectors,” Lars Frelle says.
Bent Flyvbjerg is also looking forward to the cooperation between the two universities:
“IT projects are an increasing part of my research at Oxford, and it is very relevant to work together with the Research Centre for Government IT. We are looking forward to come to Copenhagen and to welcome ITU’s researchers in Oxford,” Bent Flyvbjerg says.
Jens Schmidt, head of Research Centre for Government IT, is also excited to see the large potential in the arrangement between the two research teams.
“The Oxford research group is in the absolute world elite, and it’s a huge step for ITU and for Research Centre for Government IT that we are collaborating with them. I hope that this will create a basis for a partnership that will grow in the future.”
Research Centre for Government IT is a part of Institute for Computer Science at IT University of Copenhagen. Head of Department Peter Sestoft emphasizes the new possibilities to make groundbreaking research.
“The collaboration with Flyvbjerg’s research group is an outstanding example of interdisciplinary research that will provide us with fundamental insights, and be of great importance to our society,” Peter Sestoft explains.
