Ways of learning

Learn through practice and projects

Teaching at the IT University of Copenhagen combines lectures, hands-on exercises, and group projects. Projects are a central part of all programmes and give you the opportunity to work with real-world challenges – together with fellow students and lecturers, and often in collaboration with companies and organisations.

Collaboration is part of everyday study life

You will work in groups throughout your studies. While this can sometimes be challenging, it is also highly rewarding and motivating. Many students highlight that group work helps build a strong sense of community and provides valuable support – especially during busy periods and exam preparation.

Work on real-world challenges

You will have many opportunities to collaborate with companies and organisations on projects and to work with real data. In some programmes, fieldwork also plays an important role. Students have previously worked with partners such as the United Nations, LEGO, and the City of Copenhagen. These experiences help you turn theory into practice and develop solutions to real-world problems.
