Possibilities with an IT degree

Atrium at IT University of Copenhagen

Programmes with many opportunities

If you choose to study at the IT University of Copenhagen, you will be in high demand – both during your education and as a graduate. Candidates with an IT education are highly sought after, and graduates from ITU quickly find employment – usually in good and well-paid jobs.

IT is a broad field that effects all industries. With an education from ITU, you have very good prospects for an exciting career.

Student job

Many of our students begin their career while studying by taking on a student job. Having a student job allows you to gain practical experience even before you graduate. It is also a way to apply what you learn in your studies in a real-world setting. Learn more about some of our students' different student jobs in the video.

Student jobs can be found in many ways. These include project collaborations with companies, job postings and our job fair, IT Match Making.

IT Match Making

IT Match Making

IT Match Making is our job fair, held twice a year. Here you can meet representatives from a wide range of companies looking specifically for IT students. The focus is on finding the right match – whether for student jobs, internships or company-based projects. IT Match Making gives you the opportunity to explore the different possibilities.

Collaboration with industry

At ITU, we maintain a close collaboration with industry partners. Our programmes are known for being academically strong and for preparing students well for the realities of working life. We continuously adapt our teaching in collaboration with industry leaders, ensuring that your education aligns with development in the labour market. In addition, in most of our programmes, you will work closely with companies on a variety of projects.

At LEGO, we need designers with strong technical understanding. Of course, it is absolutely crucial you understand and are able to apply various design methods. But as part of a product team, it is perhaps even more important to be curious and think creatively. These are qualities we see in applicants coming from the IT University.
