Guide to writing project postings

ITU students are very sought-after and due to the great interest in collaboration with the students it is crucial that your company carefully considers the content of your posting to attract the right candidates. Below are some suggestions of topics you might consider including in your posting:

1. Problem area
   Outline the problem area you want the student to work on. What is your company particularly interested in having investigated/created?
   
   
2. Make a project description 
   Write a short description of how you imagine the project will proceed. If relevant, it would be beneficial to include a description of the specific type of study design, method, or theoretic approach. It might also be beneficial to describe the purpose of the project/ what your company expects to use the collaboration for.
   
   
3. Clarify the resources available
   Let the student know who the contact person will be during the project period, as well as what resources you will make available in order for them to work on the project. Will the student for example have access to particular data, systems or interviewees?
   
   
4. Motivation: What is the value/benefit to the student?
   It is a good idea to clarify what you, as a company, are offering the student who chooses to enter into a project collaboration with you. Project assignments are a part of the students’ education and the students are thus collaboration partners who are learning while they collaborate with you. Therefore, it can be beneficial to focus on what the students will gain from working on your particular case.
