New podcast on the public sector's use of big data

The research project Data as Relation has launched a new podcast series, exploring the public sector's use of big data in governance.

In the course of five episodes, the researchers talk about various subjects such as; state surveillance, GDPR, big data and the media as well as the future in tech.

More than an upgrade
Data as Relation explores how big data is generated, negotiated and applied in governance. The project is based on the hypothesis that the use of big data and digitalization in the public sector and governance is not a mere technical upgrade of infrastructures but implies a reinvention of society itself.

The podcast is hosted by James Maguire, assistant professor at the IT-University in Copenhagen, who has invited researchers to talk about their research and the perspectives, that it gives.
