The role as Dean of Education is newly established and includes the strategic management of ITU's education programmes, including the development of new and existing programmes. “Pernille Rydén is fantastically strong in the strategic area, where she also has research experience, and she has extensive experience from both the digital arena and with educational development and management. She will be able to make an important difference in the development of ITU’s education programmes, ensuring a continuously high quality in education and in relation to our interaction with stakeholders,” says Jens Chr. Godskesen, Pro-Rector at ITU.
Pernille Rydén herself highlights two overall strategic ambitions for her new role at ITU:
"Firstly, I want to create the best basis for us to seek new exciting paths for the IT programmes of the future. Secondly, I want to ensure sustainable results through research, learning, well-being and mastery of new technologies for ITU students, leaders, employees and society. The most important prerequisites for success are ITU's experiences, competencies and relationships. I want to put these into play so that we dare to challenge ourselves and each other, as well as the students," says Pernille Rydén.
