With its interdisciplinary academic profile, ITU occupies a unique position in Danish higher education, and Per Bruun Brockhoff is the right man to lead the university,” says Chairman of the Board at ITU, Carsten Gomard.
ITU’s interdisciplinary approach to IT education and research is what attracted Per Bruun Brockhoff to the institution.
“ITU’s contribution to Danish higher education and society as a whole is unique, and I look forward to leading the university. In my work as researcher and educator, I have always relied on an interdisciplinary approach to data and methodology. Now, more than ever, there is a great need in society for ITU’s interdisciplinary approach to IT, combining technology, digital design, and business and management. I look forward to carrying on and further developing that tradition, so we can ensure responsibly developed and technologically sound IT solutions that provide businesses and Danish society in general with immense value,” says Per Bruun Brockhoff, who is also adamant about pursuing ITU’s strategic goal of educating more IT professionals in the coming years:
“I intend to fight passionately for more study places at ITU, so we can educate even more IT professionals, both the technically specialized graduates and those with a broader set of IT competencies.”
