Do you already hold a MSc degree?
The Master’s rule allows applicants who have completed a Danish or a foreign master's programme only to be admitted to a new higher educational programme in case of vacant study places.
If you already have a master's degree from Denmark or another country that corresponds to a Danish master's degree, you can, in principle, only be admitted to a new degree programme if there are places available on the programme for which you are applying for admission. In the last five years, there has not been vacant study places at the IT Universities master's programmes.
In special circumstances, the University can grant you an exemption from the master's rule, if you are without working capacity in your profession and therefore can no longer use your master's degree in the labour market. For example, if you are a veterinarian and have been diagnosed with fur allergies. It means, only in very special circumstances, we can exempt you from the master's rule.
It is not seen as special circumstances that you want new competences within IT. In stead you can apply for professional education.
