Big Data

Big data is expected to have positive effects on development and growth. Businesses and public organizations alike see big data as having great potential in the years to come by enhancing decision making, discovering new patterns in existing knowledge and optimizing processes. But the age of big data also gives rise to questions pertaining to the generation, negotiation and use of big data. At ITU, researchers investigate professionals’ big data practices in order to develop insights into the nature of data, the ethical implications of big data, and how data is transformed into value for the organization.
