Robotics, Evolution and Art Research Group (REAL)
Robotics, Evolution and Art Research Group (REAL), the research group coordinator is Kasper Støy. The group conducts research on the border between fiction and fact to create new, feasible scenarios for the society of tomorrow. The group explores the “what-if” scenarios of the future and conduct fundamental science and engineering to work towards realizations of these scenarios.
The group works with a range of disciplines such as arts, robotics, artificial life and evolutionary computation, but generally the research agenda is driven by opportunities arising both within the science, art and design communities. Some of the researchers investigates the many possibilities of soft robotics, while the Flora Robotica project explores if it’s possible to make plant-robot societies.
