Machine Learning Research Group

The Machine Learning Research Group group coordinator is Jes Frellsen, and the group investigates a wide range of machine learning issues.

Machine learning is basically learning a computer to understand and recognize something based on a large amount of data, and it’s an important tool in many software programmes. It’s used for everything from image recognition to detection of fake news on social media. The group works with several different projects varying from learning computers to predict different abilities of proteins to analyzing data from DSB.

The Machine Learning Group cooperates with a number of researchers from other research groups at ITU, so the Machine Learning Group collects knowledge and understanding from many different aspects of computer science.
