Next summer, Agile and lean methods will be the frame of an international conference at the IT University of Copenhagen. Around 300 researchers and industrial practitioners will share new knowledge, experiences and recent innovation.
“This is the first time this big agile conference comes to Denmark. We are excited to welcome the international experts of agile methods from all over the world to Copenhagen,“ says Maria Paasivaara, Associate Professor at ITU and General Chair in the organizing committee.
Call for contributions
The Agile Alliance, an international organization supporting practitioners working with agile methods, organizes the conference, which is the 21st conference of its kind. The conference combines research and practice and calls for research papers, as well as inputs from the industry.
“This is an opportunity for Danish companies and Agile practitioners to share their experiences, learn from other companies, Agile consultants, and researchers, as well as network and bring new, fresh ideas to their own organization. At the moment, we are looking for different kinds of contributions from Agile practitioners to our program,” says Maria Paasivaara.
Research and practice
Agile Software Development is an umbrella of approaches within software development that focus on how the developers work together while creating software.
“This conference is suitable for both experienced Agilists, as well as to people that are just starting to use Agile in their organization, as the conference offers both advanced and very practical sessions. As industrial participants we expect, e.g., Agile coaches, managers, Scrum Masters and developers. The broad range of international experts participating guarantees that a lot of new ideas and the newest inventions in the Agile area are shared during the conference. The main take away from the conference is certainly being up to date to the newest Agile knowledge in the world.” says Maria Paasivaara.
The conference takes place on June 8-12, 2020, at the IT University of Copenhagen. Read more and submit your contribution here.
