Come and listen to Søren Lauesen telling about his 63 years with IT.

Meet Søren Lauesen – a Danish IT pioneer, who has worked with IT for 63 years, since computers were first built in Danmark.

Søren has been IT Developer and IT Consultant in private and public companies. As Professor he has developed and taught IT education programs at University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen Business School and the IT University of Copenhagen. His research has investigated, among many other things, what happened in large public IT project failures.

The program:

• 14:30: Welcome by Jakob Grue Simonsen, Pro-rector at the IT University of Copenhagen
• 14.35: Søren Lauesen speaks (in Danish) about his life as an IT pioneer and takes questions (in Danish or English)
• 15.45: Reception, where Søren Lauesen's new book "IT-pionerens beretninger” (in Danish) is sold

Søren Lauesen’s new book ’IT-pionerens beretninger’ will be published on 19 September 2025. It will be sold at the reception and can be autographed by Søren.
