The seminar is organised around a Dagstuhl seminar to take place on March 5-10th on the topic of Database Systems on Future Hardware. The seminar consists in weekly presentations based on articles written by participants of the seminar.
The programme is based on 10 sessions:

Programming memory controllers and leveraging Transactional Memories
Lessons from Software-Defined Networks
Cache-efficient Data Processing
Code generation for database operations
Domain-specific languages for data management
Next generation systems from CIDR
Energy-efficient database systems
Indexing and recovery with Persistent Memories
Students should have a good background in database systems.
Portfolio of slides based on 6 of the papers read during the seminar.
