Mads Tofte has informed the university Board that he has decided not to apply for the vacancy as Vice Chancellor of the IT University of Copenhagen.
Mads Tofte is therefore leaving the university when his fixed-term appointment expires at the end of the year.
"It was with great regret that I received the message that Mads has chosen not to apply for the position. As Vice Chancellor of the IT University of Copenhagen since its founding in 1999, Mads has made an exceptional effort to establish a university that delivers state-of-the-art IT education and research. Mads has ambitiously and purposefully built an institution that with its focus on IT education and research is more relevant to Danish society than ever before," says Maria Rørbye Rønn, Chairman of the IT University of Copenhagen’s Board.
The position as Vice Chancellor of ITU has been posted. Questions about the position can be directed to Maria Rørbye Rønn.
