Digitalization is rapidly changing the financial sector, where the shift from coins and notes to digital payment methods has created a demand for user-friendly digital services. Banks and insurance companies have an increasing need for employees with knowledge about everything from software to user-friendly design and big data.
The technological shift creates new career opportunities for students at the IT University. On Tuesday, November 17, students had the opportunity to meet representatives from 12 financial companies for a chat about job opportunities in the Finance IT industry.
The event kicked off with presentations on new advances in digital payment methods like bitcoins and blockchain. FA's CEO Marianne Dissing then announced the winners of the Financial Sector's Prize Award Competition. The award went to Jacob Stenum Czepluch, Nikolaj Zangenberg and Simon Oliver Malone for their bachelor project on blockchain technology used in a coffee machine in ITU’s Café Analog.
