Campus and student life at ITU

At ITU, teaching, group work and student life all take place under one roof. The campus is small and easy to navigate, and in your daily life you will meet students from different programmes and years of study. This creates a welcoming atmosphere and makes it easy to find your way around, meet other students and become part of student life.

The campus is centrally located on Amager in Copenhagen in a building designed by architect Henning Larsen. The large atrium is the natural meeting point of the building. Students gather here between classes, and it hosts career fairs, exhibitions and many other events.

Space for group work and focused study

Group work is an important part of studying at ITU. This is why you will find study areas on every floor where you can work with your group or focus on your projects.

You can use group rooms, skyboxes, open study areas and the reading room. You can also work in the student-run coffee shop Café Analog if you prefer a more informal atmosphere.

AIR Lab på ITU

Gain practical experience in ITU’s labs

On campus, you will find a range of labs where you can conduct experiments, build prototypes and get support for your projects. Here, you can gain practical experience with technologies and areas such as 3D printing, virtual reality, robotics, game development and data processing.

Many lecturers incorporate the relevant labs into their teaching. You can also participate in workshops, study groups and academic talks, where you can meet other students and researchers.

Cafe Analog

Facilities and communities on campus

On campus, you can have lunch in the canteen, buy coffee at Café Analog, work out at the fitness centre or play table tennis. You can also get involved in one of the many student organisations, academic activities and social communities.

The Friday bar ScrollBar is run by student volunteers and opens every Friday.

Metro

Centrally located on Amager

ITU is within easy reach of the rest of Copenhagen. DR Byen metro station is approximately 500 metres from campus, and both bicycle parking and car parking are available.
